Microsoft has limited the inhabitants of Russia to download the distributions of Windows 10 and Windows 11. When trying to download the image of the operating system from the official Microsoft website, the browser gives an error 404-File or Directory Not Found.

It is noteworthy that the problem costs the easiest solution-using VPN. With the IP addresses that are not Russian, the process of downloading distributions takes place without any problems.

At the time of publication, Microsoft itself did not comment on this situation, but it is possible that such a step was adopted as part of the sanctions policy of Western companies. In early March 2022, Microsoft supported anti-Russian sanctions and briefly suspended her business in Russia.
